Verizon Wireless ramps up Droid promotion with TV spot, events
Verizon Wireless had launched an aggressive media campaign to support the Motorola Droid, which debuts Friday, using a heavily produced TV spot that will likely get major airplay this week as well as an interactive event in New York's Times Square and expanded store hours. Industry observers have begun analyzing the potential impact the Droid and other new Android-powered smartphones will have on the iPhone.
