T-Mobile USA shows mixed results in quarter
Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile USA unit remains on target to meet its 2009 goal of hooking its 3G network to 200 million subscribers, the German telecom said today in reporting third-quarter earnings. T-Mobile grew operating profit margins from a year earlier, but the parent company still termed the carrier's performance as "unsatisfactory" as revenue fell slightly while its subscriber base inched up 4% to 33.42 million. The company did say that business at T-Mobile U.K. had stabilized.
