Malnutrition risk higher for adults, children with IBD

A study presented at the ACG Annual Scientific Meeting showed adults and children with inflammatory bowel disease are at higher risk of malnutrition. Canadian researchers said an unexpected finding was that malnutrition was no more frequent among children than it was in adults but was more common among active Crohn's disease patients in both groups.
