Study: Grape PP protects against fructose-induced insulin resistance
Data on healthy participants with high metabolic risk who were given fructose showed those who took grape polyphenol supplements did not have reductions in hepatic insulin sensitivity index and glucose infusion rate, or higher systemic and muscle oxidative stress, as seen in those in the placebo group. The findings were published in Diabetes Care.
