Experts link high TNF to CKD onset in type 2 diabetes
Higher levels of tumor necrosis factor receptor 2 were associated with chronic kidney disease onset in type 2 diabetes patients, Japanese researchers found. Data on 106 non-obese patients showed those with an impaired estimated glomerular filtration rate showed higher levels of log TNF, urinary albumin and triglycerides and had longer diabetes duration than patients with normal eGFR. The findings were published in Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice.
