Lifestyle changes improve BMI, cardio health in young patients
Overweight and obese children and adolescents who underwent lifestyle interventions lost more weight and showed immediate and post-treatment improvements in BMI compared with those who had usual care or minimal interventions, an analysis indicated. Lifestyle interventions were also associated with significant improvements in cholesterol, blood pressure and insulin levels in young patients, researchers reported in the journal Pediatrics.
