Dinnertime rules can backfire, experts say
A survey by National Public Radio, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Harvard School of Public Health revealed 25% of U.S. parents tell their children to eat all the food on their plates, while 45% put restrictions on certain foods. However, requiring children to clean their plates or to eat their vegetables sends the wrong message about healthy foods and can backfire on parents, nutrition experts say.
