Study: Eye test may track diabetes-related nerve damage in patients

Straightforward eye screening may help detect the early onset of nerve damage associated with diabetes, according to a study in Optometry and Vision Science. The study "may pave the way for an expanded role for the ophthalmic professions in diabetes management," researcher Nathan Efron said.
