Low-wage employers turn to part-timers to avoid health care law
Several retailers, hotels and restaurants are looking to circumvent the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act by shifting from full-time to part-time workers. Employees who work less than 30 hours per week aren't covered by a requirement that employers provide minimum health insurance.
