Los Angeles signs up for Google e-mail

Los Angeles will outsource e-mail service for its 30,000 employees to Google, which beat out Microsoft and other vendors for a $7.25 million contract. Before the deal goes into effect, the city wants Google to agree to provide compensation if a breach occurs and data is exposed.
