Appeals court upholds ban on generic eye-pain drug from Apotex

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington on Wednesday has agreed with a lower-court ruling that Apotex infringed on Allergan and Roche Palo Alto LLC's patent for Acular LS, a treatment for eye inflammation. The decision sustains a ban on the Canadian firm's generic version of the drug until next year.
