FDA grants orphan-drug status to GenVec's TNFerade
GenVec received orphan-drug designation from the FDA for pancreatic cancer drug TNFerade. "The designation will strengthen the TNFerade program at GenVec by offering potential clinical development and commercialization benefits," CEO Paul Fischer said.
