New Seasons Market creates grocery utopia
Nearly half of the products at New Seasons Market, a nine-store chain in Portland, Ore., are locally produced and sold side by side with traditional groceries. The store, which the founder calls "a little bit of an alternate universe," offers health insurance and profit sharing to its employees.
