Pharmacists call on PBMs to ease policies on compounded liquid Tamiflu

Pharmacists say pharmacy benefits managers are holding up their liquid-Tamiflu compounding efforts by taking 24 to 72 hours to process claims. "Your organization could help simplify the situation and improve access to care by temporarily revising policies on billing Tamiflu compounds to expedite the process," said a letter from the National Community Pharmacists Association to Express Scripts.
