Sanofi ends patent dispute with Barr, Teva over allergy drugs

Sanofi-Aventis agreed to resolve patent litigation in the U.S. against Barr Pharmaceuticals and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries over their copies of allergy medicines Nasacort and Allegra. Under the settlement, Sanofi will receive royalty fees in exchange for giving the generic-drug makers nonexclusive licenses to market their versions.
