Roundtable to testify before House panel on regulatory proposals

A representative of the Financial Services Roundtable is among the industry representatives set to testify before the House Financial Services Committee today. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and several regulators are also scheduled to testify. Measures up for discussion include the establishment of a Systemic Resolution Fund. Scott Talbott, senior vice president of government affairs for the Financial Services Roundtable, said the industry didn't object to the fund, which would have the authority to wind down major companies at the expense of other large companies.
