Publishers enjoy 50% boost in digital news circulation
Digital circulation of newspapers rose to 15.3% of the total average in the first six months of 2012, compared with 9.8% in the same period last year, giving some relief to publishers suffering another decline in print, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations. Digital circulation includes metered websites, smartphones, tablets and e-readers. The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and The New York Times were the top three newspapers during the period.
