NIH researchers have created software that allows for automated lesion segmentation on PET/MRI scans. The software lets clinicians detect parameters of diseased and healthy tissue, researchers reported at a radiology meeting. Tests showed the software can distinguish between lesions as accurately as manual lesion delineation. Researchers said the software can also be applied on PET/CT scans.
