The entire ad-supported ecosystem of the Internet accounted for about 2 million U.S. jobs last year, double the number in 2011, and contributed $530 billion to the economy, according to research conducted by Harvard Business School and commissioned by IAB. The study also notes that much of the growth occurred among small businesses.
