Social-gaming sector consolidates
Disney, Google and MTV Networks are among the companies cutting deals with developers of social-networking games, betting that there is money to be made in the sale of virtual goods within the games. Disney bought developer Playdom for $563 million this week, MTV bought developer Social Express this month, and Google is reportedly talking to Playdom, Electronic Arts and Zynga.
