The digital divide among Latinos

Two reports from the Pew Hispanic Center find disparities between the adoption of digital communication between U.S.-born Latinos and those born outside the U.S. For example, text-messaging is in wide use among U.S.-born Latinos between 16 and 25, with 83% communicating via text, but only 56% of foreign-born Latinos are texting. With regard to Internet use, 85% of U.S.-born Latinos 16 and older are online, compared with 51% of those born outside the U.S.
