Shoppers want local authenticity, say architects

Architects of retail centers must make sure that their designs reflect the local culture, weather and history in order to cultivate authenticity and appeal, said designers at ICSC RECon Latin America. "Globalization fatigue" is pushing shoppers to seek a local feel, said one designer.
