IDFA Labeling Webinar Series to cover hot topics, current rules

IDFA's Dairy Product Labeling Webinar Series offers two sessions this summer to help companies produce compliant and effective product labels. The first session, 1 to 4 p.m. Eastern, July 21, will offer an introduction to dairy-product labeling, covering nutrient pitfalls, calculating serving sizes and ingredient declarations. The second session, 1 to 4 p.m. Eastern, July 23, will cover federal requirements regarding organic products, labeling guidelines for natural and rbST claims, health and nutrient content claims, and possible future developments in labeling. IDFA to host technical workshops at Worldwide Food Expo

IDFA will host four educational workshops and certification programs in conjunction with Worldwide Food Expo, Oct. 28 to 31 in Chicago. The workshops -- Dairy Industry Orientation, Advanced HACCP Certification, SQF Certification and Better Processed Cheese -- will start Oct. 27, the day before the trade show begins, and require separate registration. "Guru of green business practices" to speak at Worldwide Food Expo

Worldwide Food Expo educational sessions taking shape
