Reducing fat consumption may facilitate weight loss
People who replaced high-fat foods with low-fat alternatives showed significant improvements in BMI, waist circumference, and blood pressure and cholesterol levels, according to a review in BMJ. Researchers found the weight loss was consistent across the trials they studied and was maintained for at least seven years.
