Women of color often excluded from work-life balance discussions
Women of color are often overlooked in discussions of work-life balance because many experts are unsure how to include them. CV Harquail from Authentic Organizations said women of color are "hyper-visible" because they stand out in mainly white male offices and often must grapple with two different cultures in the office and at home. "This adds additional work-life stress, because the employee has to be two different people -– one kind of person at work, and another kind of person at home," Harquail concludes.
