Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing is considering building production facilities in China, Taiwan and the U.S., but it doesn't have any plans to pursue a joint venture with Fujitsu to open a facility in Japan, as reported by the Economic Daily News. "The report is pure speculation and not correct," TSMC spokeswoman Elizabeth Sun said. She added that TSMC "has been exploring several options in Japan, including a joint venture with multiple customers and multiple parties. However, no definitive agreement has been reached."
