Spain's Hospital Universitari Sant Joan de Reus is using RFID tools to keep track of medical supplies. The RFID-enabled cabinets, developed by Palex Medical, have built-in RFID readers to track contents. Staff can access the cabinet using an RFID card or biometric scanner, and the cabinet tracks items and sends data to back-end software so staff knows what needs to be restocked.
