Why some small businesses are outsourcing abroad
Some small-business owners are outsourcing projects to workers in other countries as they attempt to save on labor and gain advantages, such as round-the-clock availability for clients. Margo Redfern, founder of a children's book publishing company, is able to keep her company going 24 hours a day by working with freelancers around the globe. Business owners cite language barriers and some concerns about quality, but overall they say the benefits outweigh those issues.
