How to use daily assessments to gauge student learning
Teachers of all subjects could learn from end-of-lesson assessments, suggests K-5 instructional coach Ben Curran. In this commentary, he writes that such assessments, also known as exit tickets, can help teachers keep their "finger on the pulse" of students' understanding of lessons, allowing them to identify parts of the lesson in which students need additional help with before a quiz or more formal assessment.
