Broadcasters can rejoice at Jim DeMint's Senate exit
The announced departure of Jim DeMint from the Senate means considerable relief for broadcasters. DeMint will no longer be seated as the ranking Republican member of the Senate panel overseeing communications policy, in which role he would have been pushing for the Next Generation Television Marketplace Act, which is opposed by the NAB.
