Allbritton plans D.C.-based local site
The team that built the influential politics Web site and newspaper Politico from scratch are making plans for a site to cover local news in Washington, D.C., and surrounding areas. Allbritton Communications, which operates ABC affiliate WJLA and cable station NewsChannel 8, has hired former Washingtonpost.com executive editor Jim Brady to run the site.
