Arkansas board member honored at White House
Arkansas State Board of Education member Mireya Reith was honored this week by the White House as a Champion for Change. Mireya, the daughter of a Mexican immigrant, served in the Peace Corps in El Salvador and is co-founder and executive director of the Arkansas United Community Coalition. She is also the first Latina appointed to the Arkansas State Board. NASBE congratulates Mireya on the honor and thanks her for her hard work.
