Retail sales, manufacturing show signs of recovery

The U.S. economy showed some signs of recovery as retail sales climbed 3.7% in February, despite major snowstorms along the East Coast. Manufacturing also rebounded with a 1.7% uptick in new factory orders for January. "We could be at the point where we'll see payroll grow in the manufacturing sector," said Tim Quinlan, an economic analyst at Wells Fargo Securities.
