Regulators nervous about power of "Big Three" drug wholesalers
The huge market share held by three drug wholesalers is raising concern among federal regulators and lawmakers. Cardinal Health, McKesson Corp. and AmerisourceBergen Corp. account for as much as 95% of all drug market revenue. While there is no indication the firms have violated the law, they have grown faster than anticipated by regulators.
