Index of leading economic indicators up for 6th consecutive month
U.S. leading economic indicators rose for the sixth month in a row in September, with The Conference Board's gauge showing a 1% gain. Ken Goldstein, economist at The Conference Board, said: "These numbers strongly suggest that a recovery is developing. However, the intensity of that recovery will depend on how much, and how soon, demand picks up."
