Tech startups lack leadership from women

Vivek Wadhwa, a senior research associate at the Labor & Worklife Program at Harvard Law School, analyzed background data on 549 successful entrepreneurs in an effort to determine why so few women are at the top of technology firms. Among the gender differences he discovered: Women were more motivated by encouragement and more discouraged by experiences, they depended more heavily on business partners as a main source of support, and they put a higher value on networking.
