Drinking coffee may prevent oral cancer
Consumption of more than four cups of coffee daily was associated with a 49% decline in the risk of dying from oral or pharyngeal cancer, according to a study in the American Journal of Epidemiology. Researchers said that drinking at least two cups of decaffeinated coffee had an effect as well, though it was smaller. The findings were based on data from the Cancer Prevention Study II, which followed 968,432 people.
