FDA examines liver-damage reports tied to GSK's Alli, Xenical
The FDA is looking into more than 30 reports of liver damage in patients who took weight-loss drugs Alli and Xenical. The cases were reported between 1999 and October 2008. A spokeswoman for GlaxoSmithKline, which makes the treatments, said there is no proof that the products cause liver injury.
