S.C. district's educators are frustrated by lower school grades
South Carolina's Aiken County School District saw several schools post "C" grades on the state's Palmetto Assessment of State Standards, but some say the grades inaccurately reflect the quality of the schools. Aiken Elementary School earned an "A" last year, but a "C" this year, even though principal Becky Koelker said little has changed about her students' performance. "I can't explain it, because I don't understand it," she said.
