Fewer small-business jobs lost in October

October's ADP payroll report indicates that small business cut the smallest number of jobs since July 2008, but experts warn that hiring is not likely to begin soon. "Losses are likely to continue for at least a few more months, but at a diminishing rate," says ADP Chairman Joel Prakken. ADP estimates that the small-business sector has lost 2.6 million jobs since early 2008, leaving many companies operating with skeleton staffs.
