N.Y. contractor to challenge fines over fall-protection measures
The owner of Michael C. Graham & Son Construction in New York said he will protest fines of more than $61,000 imposed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, which is alleging violations by the company on fall-protection measures and other safety standards. The agency said after a job-site inspection that crews had inadequte scaffolding and inadequate training to prevent falls. Owner Michael Graham said he provided workers with the equipment needed and that he now trains employees on fall protection every morning.
