Knoxville to place solar panels on convention center

Knoxville, Tenn., plans to install solar panels on the roof of the city's convention center. The city received $250,000 in stimulus funds for the project, which would feature about 500 solar panels. If approved by the City Council, the solar panels would generate enough electricity for 15 homes.
