Mormon church invests $1B in Salt Lake City redevelopment

The Mormon Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has made a $1 billion investment in redeveloping Salt Lake City's downtown. The financing has been an economic boon -- creating 1,800 construction jobs at just one project, City Creek Center -- during the recession.
