Nike refuses to use leather from cattle in Amazon rain forest

In a show of support to stop deforestation, Nike says it will not use leather from cattle bred in the Amazon rain forest in Brazil. Cattle ranching is the cause of deforestation, according to a recent Greenpeace report. "We understand how important rain forests are to the health of the planet and the implications deforestation has on climate change and global warming," Nike said in a statement.
