Obese children show higher risk of current health concerns
Overweight and obese children were more likely to have three or more reported medical, developmental or mental conditions compared with those at a healthier weight, according to a study in the journal Academic Pediatrics. Obese children had a higher risk of emotional and behavioral problems, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, depression, developmental delays, asthma, allergies, headaches and ear infections, among other problems, the study found.
