Groups launch an effort to combat childhood obesity
The American Heart Association and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation have announced an effort to reduce the growth of childhood obesity by 2015. Part of that effort will include the foundation's focus on helping schools and after-school programs increase physical fitness for students. The AHA will work to improve the nutritional quality of snack foods and drinks available in schools and to ensure that students eat healthier.
