Groups ask Nickelodeon to reject unhealthy-food ads
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is among the more than 50 health groups that signed a letter asking Nickelodeon and its parent company, Viacom, not to air ads that promote unhealthy foods on children's programs. The letter referenced efforts by Walt Disney Co. to implement nutrition standards for food and beverage ads and called on Nickelodeon to do the same.
