Short walks reduce mortality risk in elderly, study says
A 10-year study found that older people who walked outside for at least 15 minutes four times each week reduced their risk of early death by 40% compared with those who walked less. Italian researchers, writing in the journal Maturitas, said the data support the "encouragement of physical activity in advanced age for increasing longevity."
