Study: Broccoli sprouts curb oxidative stress in patients with diabetes

Patients with diabetes who took 5 to 10 grams of powdered broccoli sprouts had higher levels of blood antioxidants and lower levels of malondialdehyde compared with a placebo group, a study found. The findings in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition suggest that broccoli sprouts may help relieve oxidative stress in high-risk patients.
