Report: London tops New York as world financial center

London has moved ahead of New York as a financial center, according to a report by the World Economic Forum. According to the Forum's 2009 Financial Development Index, which ranks 55 countries for the scope of their financial systems, London has taken away the No. 1 spot, while New York moves to No. 2. Paris and Frankfurt ranked 11th and 12th.
